We have a winner!
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Name4Talks contest.  The response was better than what we could have hoped for, demonstrating once again the power and creativity of our networks.
There were more than 200 submissions, and to be honest, we had a difficult time choosing our winner – there were just so many great entries.  But, we did have to choose.

ELI Talks: Inspired Jewish Ideas

And, it won because ELI stands for exactly what we want these talks to represent – inspired Jewish ideas to foster greater Jewish Engagement, Literacy and Identity.
ELI is also a three letter name, like TED.  But it is a Jewish name, usually short for Eliyahu or Elisha – two of our prophets who also used inspired Jewish ideas to foster greater Engagement, Literacy and Identity.  Their talks are now part of our Jewish canon.
Who knows where today’s ELI Talks will end up?
Kol Hakavod to Aviva Werner for her submission (one of 12!) and winning an ipod, which we hope she will use to download ELI Talks podcasts!
Thanks again for everyone who participated.  What a wise, clever, and committed bunch we all are!
