The Goodman Camping Initiative for Modern Israel History engages independent Jewish camps in North America in the implementation of an Israel education curriculum. The goal is to enhance and expand the commitment of North American camps to modern Israel history and to enable Jewish campers to have a deeper connection with Israel outside of camp. At each camp, an Israel educator is selected and trained in how to use contemporary thinking developed by the iCenter to teach campers and their peers about Israel. An interactive website and database serve as both a repository for the curriculum and a method for ongoing interaction between the educators. The initiative is a partnership between The iCenter and Foundation for Jewish Camp and is co-funded by The Lillian and Larry Goodman Foundations and the Marcus Foundation.
