Yitro Leadership Program

The Yitro Leadership Program from the Foundation for Jewish Camp trains the next generation of camp leadership, assistant, and associate directors. The program helps young leaders bring top-level executive management practices to Jewish camp while building vibrant, intentional camp communities infused with Jewish values, ethics, culture and spirit.
Over the course of 19 months, participants convene for five intensive sessions led by experts and recognized leaders from various disciplines. The curriculum addresses the unique role of assistant/associate directors and their main responsibilities, including staff management and assessing and creating change in communities. It also trains the assistant and associate directors to model the best experiential Jewish educational techniques for camp staff. Nearly 60 associate and assistant camp directors were trained in three completed Yitro cohorts.
