This year, The AVI CHAI Foundation is awarding ten scholarships for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2011 conference, taking place on June 26-29, in Philadelphia, PA.

ISTE’s annual conference and exposition is the premier educational technology event, with over 20,000 enthusiastic education and technology professionals in attendance. Selected educators will have the opportunity to participate in keynote presentations, “bring your own laptop” sessions, poster sessions, the global gallery, demonstrations, affinity group meetings and more! Plus, as registrants of the ISTE conference, educators gain one year of ISTE membership. For more information about the conference and ISTE, visit http://www.isteconference.org/2011.

Selected educators will be required to write for The AVI CHAI blog prior, during and after the conference. We hope that the conversation will continue on social media as well, but is not required.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an administrator (head of school, principal, dean, rosh yeshiva, director of educational technology, etc.) at a Jewish Day School in North America. Preference will be given to Jewish studies oriented educators. The AVI CHAI scholarship to ISTE will cover the cost of registration, hotel and kosher food. Any travel expenses will be the responsibility of the participant.

Applications are due by May 12, 2011 at 11:59pm EST.

All parties will be notified of acceptance status by the week of May 30, 2011.
