What characterizes effective educational leadership in Jewish day schools? Specifically, what characterizes distinctively “Jewish educational leadership” in Jewish day schools?
These are the two central questions which will form the core of a new research study of the Consortium for Applied Studies in Jewish Education (CASJE). CASJE is a consortium of researchers, practitioners, and funders in the Jewish education sector, based at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education. This inaugural program of research is supported by the AVI CHAI and Mandell and Madeleine Berman Foundations.
CASJE issued a competitive and innovative request for proposals (RFP) for rigorous research on Jewish educational leadership. The American Institutes for Research (AIR) has been selected to conduct this research project – CASJE’s inaugural project which will contribute to the development of a robust research base to inform and develop the practices and effectiveness of leaders in Jewish educational settings.
