Yossi Prager has been the Executive Director for North America of The AVI CHAI Foundation since 1994. Under Yossi’s leadership, AVI CHAI has invested over $400 million to develop a wide variety of programs to benefit the Jewish education and summer camping fields.
Yossi is also an adjunct faculty member at New York University, where he teaches a course on foundations and social change. He edited a book on Judaism and philanthropy entitled “Toward a Renewed Ethic of Jewish Philanthropy.”
Yossi lectures frequently and is widely published on Judaism, Jewish education and philanthropy. A graduate of Yeshiva College and Yale Law School, Yossi practiced law at Debevoise & Plimpton in Manhattan before joining AVI CHAI.
