This program, at Camp Sternberg (for girls) and Camp Mogen Avraham (for boys), which began in 1999, recruits public school children and fully integrates them into camp life. The goal of the program, beyond a positive Jewish experience for the campers, is to encourage the campers to consider transferring to day schools. The Jewish growth – and joy – of the children who participated in this program has been a pleasure to see and the transfer rate has been impressive.
