The Center for Israel Education’s Educator Workshop on Modern Israel is an opportunity for educators to deepen their understanding of Israel’s modern history, culture and politics, while cultivating skills in classroom application and best practice. The workshop provides day school and supplementary schools’ teachers of modern Israel in grades 5-12 with core content and innovative teaching strategies. It also fosters a learning community of teachers exchanging information and best practice related to their specific grade levels and schools. Offered by Professor Kenneth W. Stein, Director of the Center for Israel Education, the workshop takes place during the summer. Since 2003, nearly 1000 educators have attended the workshop.
