The Day School Leadership Training Institute (DSLTI), a professional development program of the Davidson School of Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS), trains and supports a cadre of heads of school and other upper-tier administrators who exemplify Jewish values and are committed to robust day school education in North America. The 15-month program consists of two, three-week summer sessions and several retreats during the intervening year facilitated by a team of skilled mentors currently heading Jewish day schools as well as ongoing alumni support. As a vibrant learning community, DSLTI imbues participants with content knowledge, practical skills, and a new lens through which to analyze and reflect on leadership issues.
To date, 10 DSLTI cohorts, including the one currently running, have included a total of 144 fellows.
