Kivun: Training Activity Specialists through a Jewish Framework

Held in the spring at four campsites around the country, Kivun provides intensive training of summer activity specialists to enhance skills within their area of expertise and to integrate Jewish values, ideas and knowledge throughout their specialty instruction. The program is a partnership between the Conservative and Reform camping movements to jointly train camp specialists in areas such as theater arts, visual arts, nature and adventure, waterfront, sports and music. Kivun strives to build a community of practice across denominational lines through providing opportunities to share materials, techniques and questions.
