At the request of and with AVI CHAI funding, the Florence Melton Adult Mini-School (FMAMS) created a special version of their two-year core program for parents of children in Jewishly-sponsored pre-schools. The program includes both a text curriculum and Jewish parenting activities. Begun as a pilot in 2002, the program was ultimately offered in 20 communities and over time was expanded to included parents with children in day schools. Although AVI CHAI no longer provides funding for the program (including subsidies to parents to attend), FMAMS continues to offer the program in communities around the country.
