The Ph.D. program in Education and Jewish Studies at NYU Steinhardt prepares researchers and practitioners for leadership positions in a wide range of Jewish educational settings. AVI CHAI co-funds two full-time NYU doctoral fellowships per year for students with demonstrated commitments to Jewish education that foster Jewish literacy, religious purposefulness, and peoplehood, and who commit to work at day schools and/or summer camps upon degree completion. We believe this will help ensure a pipeline of top-talent leadership entering and serving the Jewish day school and summer camp fields.
