Ayeka’s Soulful Education Training Program is geared towards rabbis, educators, and individual learners from every denomination who want a method of teaching traditional Jewish wisdom that goes deeper and leaves a lasting impact. Along with other foundations, The AVI CHAI Foundation funded Ayeka’s Soulful Education Program in four day schools in January 2018, each of of which dedicated two key faculty members to the program. In the first phase, the teachers underwent intensive training in Soulful Education followed by Ayeka staff supervision and coaching over the course of the year to enable them to implement Ayeka in their classrooms. In the second phase, Ayeka is teaching these faculty members how to train additional teachers in their respective schools.
Ayeka seeks to create a common language and educational approach for teachers, parents, and students based on personal and communal transformation that is anchored in Jewish wisdom. The institution was created with the belief that the larger goal of learning Jewish wisdom is to affect and change people, to enable them to become better people, living in the image of God. Ayeka believes that to do this, people need opportunities to acquire Jewish knowledge in such a way that it not only enters their minds, but also reaches their hearts and everyday lives.
